According to a new report from CoreLogic, the rate of Fresno area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.61 percent for March 2016, a decrease of 0.12 percentage points compared with March 2015.


Foreclosure activity in Fresno was lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.09 percent for March 2016.

Also in Fresno, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased in March. According to CoreLogic data, 2.18 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared with 2.55 percent for the same period last year.

Hanford-Corcoran area foreclosures also declined in March to 0.71 percent, a decrease of 0.27 percentage points compared with March 2015. The Hanford-Corcoran mortgage delinquency rate also decreased. According to CoreLogic data for March 2016, 2.69 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared with 3.24 percent for the same period last year.

The Madera area’s foreclosure rate was 0.59 percent for March 2016, a decrease of 0.33 percentage points compared with March 2015. Mortgage delinquencies also decreased in Madera in March, coming in at 2.43 percent, compared with 2.89 percent for the same period last year.

Visalia-Porterville area foreclosures were 0.64 percent for March 2016, a decrease of 0.18 percentage points compared with March 2015. The Visalia-Porterville mortgage delinquency rate decreased to 2.37 percent, compared to 2.71 percent for the same period last year.
