Several Central Valley businesses have been highlighted among the fastest growing in the U.S. in a major business publication’s annual list.

One local trucking firm made it into the top 200 — among the highest local placements on record.

Eight local businesses made it to the annual Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in the nation.

Inc. ranks participating private companies on three-year revenue growth.

This year’s list is based on revenue growth from 2020 through 2023.

To make the list, the minimum revenue for 2020 is $100,000 and $2 million or 2023.

Placing at 194 is Dunn Transport Solutions, a logistics company based in Fresno specializing in oversize freight and managing complex transportation needs as well as emergency freight.

A second-generation family business founded in 2019, Dunn Transport Solutions reported a 3-year growth rate of 2,021%.

The company is currently led by CEO Patrick Dunn, who entered the industry working with his father. Patrick’s wife Jessica serves as chief financial officer.

Dunn said he and the team are excited to make the list — and to rank amongst the top 200 companies is an honor.

“Being Fresno’s fastest growing company according to Inc. is awesome news,” Dunn said.

Having large customers has allowed the company to scale quickly. Evolving technology has also helped the company grow in efficiency.

“We have a really great team that we put together in Fresno, and I feel really lucky to be part of the team that we created,” Dunn said.

Fresno’s Wellpointe, a leading provider of boutique residential assisted living services through a coordinated and integrated system of care to high-acuity, older adults, ranked at No. 1,103. They placed 3,072 in 2023.

Clovis-based Empower Solar, a residential and small business solar installation company providing expertise, education and experience, placed 1584 on the list.

The company saw a 328% 3-year growth rate and was listed at No. 78 on last year’s list.

Fresno’ Solar Negotiators, one of the state’s leading solar contractors with experts in negotiating deals and navigating complex solar options placed 1,874. Negotiators had a 279% 3-year growth rate.

Fresno-based air conditioning, heating and plumbing service and repair company Balanced Comfort placed 2,333, seeing a 223% 3-year growth rate.

Located in Prather, Pro Sulum, an outsourcing company connecting small and medium-sized business with a virtual system that documents and implements company processes, placed 2,407.

Low-voltage integration company EKC enterprises, which provides expertise and solutions in the design, installation and integration of technology products, is listed at 3,199.

EKC Enterprises saw a 154% 3-year growth rate and ranked at 3,078 last year, 2,920 in 2022, 3,307 in 2021, and 4,481 in 2020.

Heavy civil construction company Clark Bros, which specializes in water and waste treatment, wind and solar energy, high-voltage electricity distribution, and utility-scale batter storage, made the list at 3,200.

The company saw a 154% 3-year growth rate and has placed on the Inc. 5000 list since 2016, excluding 2020 and 2022.
