The Fresno Pro-Am will begin its third season on June 22, 2024, at Fresno City College. This season will bring a blend of professional and amateur basketball talent to the Central Valley, continuing to build on the success and momentum of the previous seasons.

The Fresno Pro-Am Basketball League was founded by brothers Alton and Ryan Williams, and Seth Stanley, to bring high-level basketball competition to Fresno.

This year, the Fresno Pro-Am achieved a milestone by surpassing $1 million in brand value within two years of its establishment. It originated as a grassroots initiative to organize pickup games at the Clovis Recreational Center during the pandemic.

This project quickly evolved into an official summer league, now proudly sanctioned by the NBA. It experienced exponential growth in its inaugural seasons.

“We are excited to kick off Season 3 and continue to bring high-quality basketball to Fresno. This league is about more than just the game; it’s about community, growth, and providing a platform for our local talent to shine,” said Alton Williams.

It is modeled after renowned leagues like the Drew League in Los Angeles, Fresno Pro-Am offers a unique platform where current and former NBA players, NCAA stars, and local high school and college athletes can compete together.

Fresno Pro-Am has featured NBA talent that fans can expect to see from current and former NBA players, including notable names such as Rudy Gay, Orlando Robinson, and Jaden Hardy. The league has also featured former NBA player Quincy Pondexter, who continues to support the community through various events.

Some local stars, including Fresno State basketball players like Isaiah Hill, Donavan Yap, Steven Vasquez, Enoch Boakye, and Mykell Robinson, will participate, providing an opportunity for local fans to see their favorite college athletes in action during the off-season.

“Playing in the Pro-Am is a great way to stay in shape and compete during the summer. It’s always fun to play basketball and have an outlet like this in Fresno,” said Isaiah Hill, Fresno State Guard.

Since its inception in 2022, the Fresno Pro-Am has rapidly grown in popularity and attendance. The league has averaged 500 fans per game and has filled the Fresno City College gymnasium during key events. The league’s success has not gone unnoticed, with plans for a potential TV network or broadcast deals in the future.
