A longtime Fresno jeweler is partnering with a local hospital to support children’s medical care.

Rogers Jewelry Co. announced a partnership with Valley Children’s Hospital with a watch battery replacement program for November, with proceeds going towards the hospital.

For the entire month of November, customers who take their watches to Rogers Jewelry for a battery replacement will also be supporting Valley Children’s Hospital’s patients and families.

This is the first time Rogers Jewelry — in business since 1937 — has run this program.

David Carr, NFL analyst and father, stressed in a video promoting the program that when you have a sick child, making it to critical appointments is all important.

“When you have kids, time is everything,” he said. “Don’t be late.”

Rogers Jewelry marketing director and family member Neil Marks created the program and said the family has supported the hospital and community for generations.

“It is time to give back in a big way to an organization that has touched the lives of so many families within the communities we share,” Marks said.

Rogers Jewelry is located on Blackstone avenue in the Fresno Universal Park shopping center.
