What we do: 

Core Software Integrated is a full UI/UX design (user experience design/user interface design) and software service provider. We do front-end, back-end; we also do web pages, but our forte is in web app development. We design and build software that makes a “Core” difference.

Tell us a little about your career to your current position.

My career started as a mechanical designer, which eventually led me to project management. The project management space has given me the opportunity of working on various international projects and an interest in software development.

While on a project in Kathmandu, Nepal, I met my partner of 10 years, Arshu Bista. We both decided to create Core Software Integrated, Inc. (CSI). I’m presently the CEO of CSI.

How long have you been at your current position?

I incorporated CSI in September of 2020

As a smaller company, how do you plan to stay competitive in the tech industry with larger California-based UI/UX companies from Silicon Valley?

I hand-pick local UI/UX designers per contract, and I use top level software engineers in Nepal. I keep my development timeframes short and my price point low! All of this done remotely!

Where were you prior to your position in Fresno?

I spent a good portion of my professional life in the Bay Area (San Jose) while working in the technology sector. I relocated to the Fresno/Clovis area for a PM opportunity approximately 7 years ago. I never looked back.

What is your impression of the Fresno community?

Technology driven individuals are gradually moving into the Central Valley from the Bay Area. The technological landscape is quickly changing and with it, more employment opportunities. The conservative nature of the Valley is about to get a culture shock.

What cause/organization is close to your heart?

I want to help all those in need regardless of the cause. Close to my heart are organizations seeking a cure for cancer and caring for individuals with cerebral palsy.

What was the best advice you ever received?

I am a positive product of the New York City Housing Authority (low income housing) – Best advice given (2x):

1. “Your future is whatever you desire and only you can make it happen, so shut up and do it!”

2. “It’s not how you start but how you finish that matters most!”

What was your very first job and what did you learn from it?

My very first job as an adult was at Jack in the Box. Lessons learned: Service and humility!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I coach baseball, watch movies, and enjoy long rides on my bike!
