The Fresno Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC) has announced its first round of endorsements ahead of the June 7 Primary Election.
In the newly drawn 13th District, Merced Democratic Assemblymember Adam Gray has earned the Chamber PAC endorsement. The district includes western portions of Madera and Fresno counties. Other candidates seeking the office include Democrats Phil Arballo and Angelina Sigala and Republicans David Giglio and John Duarte, according to ballotpedia.com.
In Congressional District 20, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) has earned the endorsement for the newly formed district that includes eastern portions of Fresno and Tulare counties. Also running for the seat are Democrat Ben Dewell and Republican Dalila Epperson, according to ballotpedia.
For Congressional District 21, Rep. Jim Costa (R-Fresno) has received the Chamber PAC endorsement.
In Assembly District 8, Republican Jim Patterson of Fresno has received the Chamber PAC endorsement.
For the District 1 Fresno County Supervisor seat, Brian Pacheco received the endorsement. Buddy Mendes was endorsed for the District 5 Fresno County Supervisor seat.
To replace the retiring Jim Yovino, Assistant Superintendent Michele Cantwell-Copher was endorsed for Fresno County Superintendent of Schools.
“Our PAC actively seeks out candidates who understand Fresno’s diverse local economy, its workforce, and the unique set of challenges facing our members and the b business community in our region,” stated Ian Wieland, chair of the Fresno Chamber PAC. “We will be very active in the 2022 election cycle and look forward to announcing additional endorsements in the coming weeks.”
