Some of the recommended standards would require an amendment to the existing Development Code, mostly applying to the R-1-MD (Single Family- Medium Density) Zone District. These changes can be summarized as reductions to setbacks, a reduction to the minimum garage size, an increase in lot coverage, and the addition of tandem style garages as an alternative to traditional two car garages.
