The young patients at Valley Children’s Healthcare were treated to an afternoon of fun, games and cinnamon rolls with the Valley’s favorite giraffe in scrubs.
It was all in celebration of a new partnership with the health care network and The Big Fresno Fair, as they announced the launch of “Fill the Need,” in which customers will be able to purchase a special ticket online good for Oct. 10 (a Thursday) at the fair. Half of that $4 ticket’s sale will go to Valley Children’s. All online service fees are being waived for the purchase. Purchases made before Aug. 1 will also be entered into a drawing for fair concert tickets.
“This unprecedented partnership further supports the Fair’s continued focus on giving back to its community, especially when it comes to serving our children,” said Stacy Rianda deputy manager for the Fair. “We’re truly honored to be here and support Valley Children’s ongoing mission to improve the health of kids in our community.”
Todd Suntrapak, president and CEO of Valley Children’s Healthcare, also expressed his excitement over the partnership.
“Everywhere you turn at The Big Fresno Fair, you see kids that are engaged and having fun,” Suntrapak said. “Sometimes riding the rides, sometimes learning, and those are all things that Valley Children’s is focused on enabling.”
