An additive bid item for embedded river rock surfacing in the median landscaping area is also included. An encroachment permit and a traffic control plan must be applied for and accepted by the City of Fresno. This project is anticipated to be awarded by the Board of Supervisors on June 5, 2018. Bidders are advised that, as required by federal law, the State of California has established a statewide overall DBE goal. City of Fresno federal-aid contracts are considered to be part of the statewide overall DBE goal and the City is required to report to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) on DBE participation for all Federal-aid contracts each year so that attainment efforts may be evaluated.

Bidders are advised that, as required by federal law, the City of Fresno is implementing new Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The DBE goal for this Project is NINE PERCENT (17%).
