Megabus, a city-to-city bus line, announced its return to seven California cities, including Fresno.
Because of an increase in travel demand and in anticipation of a busy summer travel season, Megabus will offer three trips daily between Anaheim, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Fresno, San Francisco, Oakland and Sacramento.
“We’re excited to be back in California,” said Colin Emberson, vice president for Megabus. “Our customers have eagerly been awaiting our return and we’re happy to be able to provide a new network of travel options just in time for the summer rush.”
Megabus touts low-ticket prices, with some promotional fares as low as 1$.
Its luxury double-decker busses offer in-seat power outlets, panoramic windows and are wheelchair accessible, according to the website.
Travelers out of Fresno will board their bus in the Carl’s Jr parking lot at 5275 W Shaw Ave near Highway 99.
Megabus launched in 2006 and operates in more than 500 cities.
Schedules for travel on May 15 and beyond are now available and tickets can be purchased at us.megabus.com.
