The Madera Wine Trail will be hosting its 18th annual Wine & Chocolate on the weekend of February 8 and 9. Visitors can travel to participating wineries to sample local and handmade chocolates, listen to live music and do some specialty gift shopping.

There will also be gourmet foods from local caterers and food trucks available around the Wine Trail.

The region has been a winemaking hotspot since the late 1800s and offers scenic views and relaxing outdoor patio lounging.

Participating wineries will have large selections of wines to choose from, many offering special prices and festive gift packages during the event.

Wineries participating in the event are: Birdstone Winery, Fäsi Estate Winery, Ficklin Vineyards (by appointment only), Idle Hour Winery, Papagani Winery, San Joaquin Winery, Westbrook Wine Farm (by appointment only), Toca Madera Winery.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the weekend of the event. A ticket includes a keepsake wine glass to use for tasting all weekend long.

Designated drivers are free of charge.
