The Fresno Chapter of the California Restaurant Association announced its first ever public event, honoring restaurant, eatery and bar employees on Monday, May 16, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Solitary Cellars Wine Company in Friant.

The event, which aims to recognize and display appreciation for restaurant, eatery and bar employees, will feature local bands, Pardini’s white glove catering service, VIP cabanas as well as food truck cuisine and local breweries and wineries.

In addition to the event, the public will be given the opportunity to nominate and vote for Fresno area restaurant employees to receive a prestigious Pineapple Award. Bartenders, chefs and servers are just some of the 13 categories that will be presented the award.

The event will also feature a 25 team corn-hole tournament, with attendees receiving raffle tickets for prize giveaways.

The focus of the event is unique, as it focuses on employees, a step away from the California Restaurant Association (CRA) Best of The Valley Awards Dinner, which focuses solely on the establishment.

“We are excited to host the event along with our presenting sponsor, Fresno/Clovis Convention and Visitors Bureau,” said CRA Fresno Chapter President Raul Gutierrez. “We invite all our industry employees, owners, and suppliers, as well as the public to come out and support this event.”

Sponsorships are currently available, with tickets for the event available this Friday starting at $60 for CRA members, and $75 for non-members.
