Foreclosure rates in the Central Valley continued a downward slide in September, according to new data from real estate information firm CoreLogic.

 

The foreclosure rate in Fresno in September was 0.45 percent, down 0.18 percentage points from a year ago. The mortgage delinquency rate also fell to 1.84 percent in September, compared to 2.37 percent last year.

The foreclosure rate in the Visalia-Porterville area was 0.41 percent in September, down 0.28 percentage points from a year ago. The delinquency rate was 2 percent, down from 2.57 percent last year.

In Madera, the foreclosure rate was 0.47 percent in September, down 0.37 percentage points from last year. The mortgage delinquency rate that month was 1.99 percent, compared with 2.88 percent last year.

The Hanford-Corcoran area saw a 0.61 foreclosure rate in September, down 0.28 percentage points from last year. The delinquency rate was 2.38 percent, compared to 3.15 percent last year.

All Central Valley counties outperformed the national foreclosure rate in September of 0.86 percent.
