United Health Centers (UHC) celebrated the opening of a new health center in Lemoore last week.

The 6,750-square-foot health center, which opened Wednesday at 250 E. Hanford Armona Rd., is expected to enhance health care services for residents in Lemoore and the surrounding communities with comprehensive primary care services that include medical, dental, optometry and chiropractic services, along with behavioral health and ancillary services. The new clinic is the second UHC center in Lemoore and the third one in Kings County.

“We intentionally built this building and planned to close the other, but there’s such an overwhelming need,” United Health Centers CEO Colleen Curtis said. “And we’re serving patients — we’re keeping them both open.”

United Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center and operates 15 health center locations in the three counties of Fresno, Tulare and Kings, serving more than 75,000 community residents in 380,000 appointments annually.
