The Deli Delicious location in the Tower District is hosting a grand opening Thursday.

One of the newest additions to Fresno’s Tower District will celebrate a grand opening Thursday with chances to win free food and other items.

Deli Delicious franchisee Alex Petrosyan opened the restaurant located at 920 E. Olive Ave. inside the former Fulton’s Folly building.

The official ribbon cutting will take place at 12:30 p.m., but the event time runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests can spin the “Deli Delicious Prize Wheel” to win free prizes. There will also be music as part of the festivities.

This restaurant is Fresno resident Petrosyan’s first business, though he comes from a family tradition of small business ownership. He’s hoping to attract Fresno City College students to the eatery with such amenities as free Wi-Fi for guests.

“He brings enthusiasm and a winning attitude to everything he does — truly! It’s hard not to smile when you’re working with Alex,” said Nathan Gilbert from Deli Delicious franchise support.

There are 53 Deli Delicious locations in California, according to the company website.
