The Central California Blood Center is teaming up with a slew of businesses and organizations to hosts its 14th annual Tulare Rotary 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive.

The South Valley’s largest such donation event, the Tulare Rotary 9/11 Blood Drive invites hundreds each year to give blood in memory of those lost during the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

Donors will receive a “Memory Badge” as well as a T-shirt and various coupons, including a pass to the Drive-Thru Tulare Fair. The first 75 first-time donors each day will also receive a Galaxy Movie Theatre movie ticket. Walgreens will also provide free flu shots on site.

The events takes place Sept. 11-12 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Tulare Veteran’s Memorial Building, 1771 E. Tulare Ave. Donors are encouraged to make appointments, but walk-ins are always welcome.

Sponsors of the annual event include Tulare Rotary Club, the City of Tulare Fire Department, Tulare AMVETS and local businesses such as Land O’ Lakes, Service Master Restore, Adair & Evans and J.D. Heiskell & Co.
