Five months after announcing its temporary closure, Peeve’s Public House owner Craig Scharton confirmed yesterday the business would be closing permanently after 2 1/2 years.

In a Facebook post, Scharton said the pub/eatery had almost $1 million in revenue in its second year of operation. But business suffered, and now Peeve’s is hosting a going-out-of-business sale this Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Scharton said everything is for sale, including a projector, stove, couches, desks, tables, chairs and kitchen items. He will be turning in the keys for the Fulton Mall space on Monday.

He said he is hopeful the location will pan out for another entrepreneur.

“I know that someone new will come in and take over our space and will be able to thrive on the new Fulton Street (coming May 2017),” Scharton wrote.

I am eternally grateful for all of our wonderful customers and our former staff members,” he added. “We gave it our best and we gave life to our little corner of downtown Fresno for an important period of time.”
