After 19 years in business, River Park Golf Center will be closing at the end of the year after the owners sold the property to Valley Children’s Hospital.

Located along Highway 41 just east of the hospital, River Park Golf Center features a 9-hole, par three course that measures nearly 1,090 yards as well as practice facilities. Gerald Chow is listed as the president and managing director of Rio Mesa Golf, Inc., parent company of River Park Golf Center.

According to a Facebook post, the land was sold to make way for future expansion plans at Valley Children’s Hospital. The course will close after business hours on Dec. 31, according to the Facebook post.

“The owners wish to express a heartfelt thank you to all our loyal customers over the years for their support and patronage, and look forward to seeing you again for the next few months,” according to the post. “Of course, the success of the facility could only have been achieved with our devoted and hard-working staff.”
