The four Central Valley counties continued to see lower foreclosure and mortgage delinquency rates in February, according to new data from real estate information firm CoreLogic.

Fresno’s foreclosure rates for February were 0.62 percent, a decrease of 0.14 percentage points from a year ago.

Fresno mortgage delinquency rate also decreased that month, with 2.25 percent of mortgage loans 90 days or more delinquent compared to 2.67 percent last year.

In the Hanford-Corcoran area, the foreclosure rates in February were 0.73 percent, down 0.26 percentage points from last year.

The region’s mortgage delinquency rate also decreased, from 3.43 percent last year to 2.87 percent in February.

In Madera, the foreclosure rate was 0.64 percent in February, down 0.32 percent from last year.

The Madera mortgage delinquency rate was 2.55 percent in February, down from 3.10 percent last year.

In the Visalia-Porterville region, the February foreclosure rates were 0.65 percent, a decrease of 0.20 percentage points from last year.

The delinquency rate also decreased, from 2.91 percent a year ago to 2.42 percent in February.

All Central Valley counties continue to outpace the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.13 percent in February.
