NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE RECALL PETITION

TO THE HONORABLE Mario Alvarado: Pursuant to Section 11020, California Elections Code, the undersigned registered qualified voters of Raisin City, in the State of California, hereby give notice that we are the proponents of a recall petition and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from the office of School Board Member, in Raisin City, California, and to demand election of a successor in that office.

The grounds for the recall are as follows:

The honorable Mario Alvarado is opposed to the dual immersion program that is widely supported by parents and is also opposed to adult classes being currently offered to parents who are obtaining GED diplomas, acquiring English skills and computer skills. The residents of Raisin City have determined that students are the last priority for Mario Alvarado as board member of Raisin City Elementary. Mario Alvarado has proven to be incompetent, never participating at the board meetings, except to rubber stamp Nancy Schwabenland’s motions.
