Matt Williams joins Central Valley Retail and Security Solutions as a product specialist-installer

In 1999, Robin L. Whitney, PhD, RN, participated in the UCSF Fresno Summer Biomedical Research Internship Program. As an Edison High School student, she worked under UCSF faculty member Paul Mills, PhD, to investigate the incidence of cancer in children exposed to pesticides. Seventeen years later, Dr. Whitney, who is a cancer survivor herself, was named director of research for the Hillblom Center on Aging at UCSF Fresno. She is overseeing research related to the care of older adults in the San Joaquin Valley with the goal of improving access for local patients to cutting-edge clinical studies. She also will evaluate outcomes of new, collaborative models of care for older patients in the region.

MANUFACTURING

J.D. Heiskell Holdings LLC has named Rick Bowen its chief operating officer and promoted him to executive vice president. In his new position, Bowen will have oversight of the Elkhorn Trading Group and general managers of four of Heiskell’s regional operating groups in California, the Pacific Northwest, the Southwestern US, and the Colorado Front Range. He will report directly to JDHHLLC President and CEO Ryan G. Pellett.
