The Fresno County Farm Bureau elected and installed its 2016-17 officers on Oct. 27.

The new FCFB officers include President Donny Rollin, Riverdale; First Vice President Matthew Efird, Caruthers; Second Vice President Daniel Hartwig, Easton; and Secretary/Treasurer Mark Thompson, Fresno.

John Cervantes, a three-month volunteer with GRID Alternatives in Fresno installing solar projects on homes, has landed a job with GRID through its SolarCorps program. Cervantes has 20 years of experience working various jobs in construction and HVAC.

Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals has announced its annual award honorees for this year’s FLYP 2016 Awards Banquet to be held at The Grand 1401 on Dec. 2. The Lead award goes to Oliver Baines, Fresno City Council, District 3; the Serve award goes to Cary Catalano, Catalano Fenske and Associates, LLC; the Connect award goes to Keith Bergthold, Fresno Metro Ministry, Better Blackstone Project; the Company of the Year award goes to Olam International; and FLYP’er of the Year goes to Megan Souza, Pana Pacific.
