The Valley’s latest La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor store has opened in south Visalia.

The newly constructed store opened Friday in The Grove at Packwood Creek, on Cameron Drive across the street from Visalia’s Costco store.

That shopping center is under development, with a Sportsman’s Warehouse store already open there and a Bob’s Discount Furniture and Valvoline oil change shop both currently under construction.

Once the Bob’s store opens, it will be the second the New England-based furniture chain will has opened in the Valley, after opening one last March in Fresno.

A customer service representative for the chain said an opening date for the Visalia Bob’s store hasn’t been set.

The shopping center housing these new businesses sits a block east of Mooney Boulevard, Visalia’s primary retail drag.
