The Fresno County city of Firebaugh will be the new home for Wayback Burgers, an expanding chain that should bring 15 new jobs to the rural town.

Wayback Burgers is slated to open later this summer at 46365 W. Panoche Road. It is the first Wayback Burgers location owned and operated by local franchisees Shoaib Tarar and Javaid Aslam of CalWest Management, Inc.

It is the ninth location in California for the Connecticut-based fast-casual franchise that touts its fresh burgers and hand-dipped milkshakes. There are more than 120 Wayback Burger locations in 26 states as well as internationally in places including Argentina, Brunei and Saudia Arabia.

“We are excited to announce the opening of our Wayback Burgers location in Firebaugh” Tarar said. “We believe that the area is a great fit for the brand, and we look forward to bringing excellent service and top notch burgers, fries, shakes and more for foodies in Firebaugh and beyond.”
