After only three years in business, Nelson’s ACE Hardware in Kingsburg has won a top award from the world’s largest hardware retail cooperative.

ACE Hardware, which has more than 4,600 independently operated stores in the U.S., has designated Nelson’s ACE Hardware in Kingsburg as a “Pinnacle Performance Retailing” store for its performance in 2016.

Mike Nelson is the store owner.

“Nelson’s ACE Hardware is one of the best stores in America, and by far one of the highest volume stores per retail square foot in the state and America,” said John Venhuizen, president and CEO of Ace Hardware Corp., based in Illinois. “Pinnacle performance means he is the elite at ACE.”

The team at Nelson’s Ace Hardware is one of only 300-plus ACE retailers to achieve Pinnacle status this year. To achieve the Pinnacle award, the team at Nelson’s ACE successfully completed eight performance drivers aimed at helping them provide a better overall shopping experience.

“I would like to mention how much I appreciate my store managers Randy Grumbles and John Hawkins who have been with me since day one,” Nelson said.  “Also I want to thank the community of Kingsburg for their support in making our business a success.”
