Madera Community Hospital has added new equipment as part of a project to improve its Outpatient Center.

Installation was completed in December on new medical imaging technology and the renovation of the x-ray room. The new equipment reduces image transfer time while improving the image quality, according to a news release.

“The new diagnostic imaging equipment streamlines and advances the capabilities of our outpatient medical imaging services, said Karen Paolinellie, interim CEO. “The x-ray equipment improves quality and efficiency for both patients and referring providers.”

The Outpatient Center also includes a blood draw station, two ultrasound rooms and mammography. Additional project plans in the future include enlarging and remodeling the patient registration and waiting area and enhancing diagnostic services.
