A new Ramen Hayashi restaurant will debut in the El Paseo Marketplace in Northwest Fresno starting with a soft opening on Oct. 7.

Ramen Hayashi, which proved its popularity in Clovis after opening in 2020, is a western-influenced, Japanese-style restaurant, offering a wide selection of ramen dishes, offering customers the opportunity to customize their orders by choosing their own broth, noodles and toppings.

“We make every ramen bowl perfectly before we serve it,” said Jason Lin, CEO of J-Lin’s Restaurant Inc. “We cook our broth over 12 hours with pork bones and chicken bones.”

The Lin Family also owns local favorites including Spicy J’s, J Pot, Hino Oishi and Lin’s Fusion and throughout Fresno and Clovis.

The restaurant, located at 6443 N. Riverside Dr. Ste 101, hopes to draw from the quickly-expanding El Paseo Marketplace shopping center, which has recently seen the opening of several retail stores as well as a movie theater.

Lin believes the foot traffic, from moviegoers in particular, will offer the restaurant plenty of business at the new location.

“It’s a good area,” he said. “The new theater will bring the draw; just bringing that area more choices as far as Asian food.”

Ramen Hayashi Fresno is the sixth Central Valley establishment from Lin’s family of restaurants. All restaurants are open 7 days a week, with the company employing more than 250 employees throughout its six eateries.
