Central Valley organizations are kicking off their holiday fundraising efforts by participating in the global #GivingTuesday movement, using the power of social media and the web to encourage donors to step up to the plate.
Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday began in 2012 and has spread throughout the world.
The following local organizations are participating, according to a web search and press releases shared with The Business Journal:

AMOR’s mission is to improve the health status of communities here and aboard, including operating a hospital and ten clinics in Afghanistan. It is launching its first domestic project in Mendota next year.
