The Marjaree Mason Center’s Crisis Support project has received aid in the form of a $50,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente Fresno to assist uninsured residents who have survived domestic violence.

“Kaiser Permanente believes everyone deserves to be in a healthy and safe relationship and we want to support organizations in our community that are committed to helping victims get the support they need,” said Wade Nogy, senior vice president of Kaiser Permanente Fresno.

The grant will help the Marjaree Mason Center reach 1,500 adults and children. The Crisis Support program will include a 24/7-staffed hotline and crisis intake assessments with families that will help identify and address their social and emotional health needs. Additionally, staff plans to coordinate with other health care providers to ensure that domestic violence victims are connected with the services and support they need.

“The Marjaree Mason Center is grateful for the extension of Kaiser Permanente Fresno’s investment into our community to provide support services and prevention for survivors of domestic violence,” said Nicole Linder, executive direct for the center.

Kaiser Permanente Fresno employees are also supporting the Marjaree Mason Center through a donation drive during the month of October as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
