City officials and the developer of Campus Pointe were on hand for a news conference Wednesday to talk about new additions to the shopping center near Fresno State.
Fresno State Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer Debbie Adishian-Astone, Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer and Tracy Kashian of Lance-Kashian & Co. gathered in front of 3150 Studios at Campus Pointe to provide updates on the future of the development.
3150 Studios is Campus Pointe’s fourth housing option, joining Palazzo (student housing); Palmilla (workforce housing) and Maravillosa (senior living). The 3150 Studios feature 57 studio units.
It is the fourth apartment complex built at Campus Pointe for a total of nearly 600 units aimed from seniors to students.
Kashian provided updates on current construction projects at Campus Pointe and confirmed that they are nearing completion of the master plan.
Some 32 Tesla charging stations will be completed this December. In January, a drive-thru convenience store will open. Later that year, the Hyatt House, an extended-stay hotel, will open in October 2025.
The groundbreaking for the Hyatt House hotel was held Sept. 1, 2023. The 91,433 square-foot, 138-room hotel will offer condo-like living as well as a 4,300 square-foot conference center at the northwest corner of Shaw and Chestnut avenues.
Dyer announced that the teppanyaki restaurant Hino Oishi will be moving closer to the Hyatt House and will feature 20 teppanyaki stations.
Dyer expressed gratitude for all that Campus Pointe has done for the community.
“I’m proud to be the mayor of this city and I’m proud to have Campus Pointe within the city of Fresno,” Dyer said.
Adishian-Astone shared similar sentiments.
“As I look around Campus Pointe and I drive by it every day, we are so fortunate to have such a great, quality mixed-use development here as part of Fresno State,” she said. “We are the envy of every other California State University campus in our system.”
