HashtagiDo, a Fresno-based company that works to digitally capture and broadcast its clients’ weddings on social media, is celebrating its first business anniversary with a free workshop for local brides-to-be.

The “Put a #Hashtag On It” event, which will be held March 26 at Bitwise South Stadium, will feature best practices for wedding day social media services and all of the ins-and-outs of working with a professional photographer for the big day.

Other local wedding vendors will provide wine sampling, giveaways and raffle prizes.

HashtagiDo founder Christine Brown, who entered the wedding industry after discovering the crucial role social media played during her own wedding in 2014, said in the age of social media, couples are now devoting time to create their perfect wedding hashtag as a way for friends, loved ones and acquaintances to follow them on their new journey together.

“Brides have so much to do and people to connect with, including their partner, during their wedding. The last thing they should be thinking about is their phone,” Brown said. “The beauty of hashtags is that they turn each of your guests into content creators, allowing those unable to attend to share in the festivities. After my wedding, I loved seeing photos of our guests celebrating with each other and having a great time; these are moments I may have otherwise missed.”

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are free, but limited. To reserve a spot, RSVP online at bit.ly/hashtagonit
