Crop-care provider and seller of agricultural chemicals and fertilizer GAR Tootelian, Inc. is marking the opening of its new Grower Customer Service Center in Kerman with a customer appreciation barbecue this afternoon.

The food will not be served at the service center, however, but at the Kerman Community Center.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. at the service center at 275 S. Madera Ave., Suite 104, next to the Fresno County Agriculture Department office.

The new service center, intended to serve the Kerman-area and other west side farmers, will open for business on Monday, with weekday hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon.

Growers may visit this office for information and to schedule water, nutrition, regulatory and crop-care consulting, as well as to buy products.

“We have successfully managed our growth from our central office in Reedley for 70 years. The Kerman Service Center allows us to be closer to better serve Kerman and neighboring communities to ensure they get the right product, to the right place at the right time,” Greg Musson, Gar’s president and CEO, said in a written statement.

“The Kerman community is an important part of our service area, and we hope that by being closer to our growers, we will be able to serve them better and help Kerman thrive.”
