A ribbon cutting ceremony and official grand opening celebration will begin at 9 a.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

The 53,000 square-foot Fresno store on Herndon and Blackstone avenues is Hobby Lobby’s 33rd location in California and its 700th location nationwide. Each store offers more than 75,000 crafting and home décor products including floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies. It is the nation’s largest privately owned arts and crafts retailer.

“Once you visit Hobby Lobby, you will see that we are very unique, offering the widest variety of merchandise in the craft and home décor market under one roof,” John Schumacher, Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. assistant vice president of advertising, said in a statement. “We’re tremendously excited about becoming a part of the Fresno community.”

Hobby Lobby store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The store is closed on Sunday.
