Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin will be joined by community leaders Saturday to celebrate the grand re-opening of Al Radka Park.

Central California Baseball Academy, founded by Fresno developer and former professional baseball player Terance Frazier, participated in Fresno’s Adopt-a-Park program to renovate the baseball fields at the Southeast Fresno park over the last few months.

As part of the official opening ceremony, Central California Baseball Academy is also hosting a baseball tournament for 11-under and 12-under teams through Sunday.

The Al Radka baseball fields will serve Sunnyside Little League, allowing the league to add as many as 100 additional players next year.

The opening ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Al Radka Park at 5897 E. Belmont Ave.
