Fresno’s newest entrepreneurship center will be hosting a grand opening event Friday near Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

The Vision View Business Formation Center features 33,000 square feet of space in three separate buildings at 4974 E. Clinton Way. There are currently 10 local and national businesses with office space in the center, which also features a cyber lounge, conference room, private meeting space and other business services.

The Vision View Business Formation Center is the product of a partnership consisting of Kina McFadden, Adrian Harris and Laneesha Senegal.

Harris is the CEO of events promotion and business information firm FresnoVibe/BlackWallStreet. McFadden is the principal of Eye Connect Dots business consulting firm. Senegal runs Helping Others Pursue Excellence, or HOPE, which partners with organizations including the Fresno Housing Authority to provide job and entrepreneurship training and business formation services.

Senegal said Vision View Business Formation Center has been in the works for the last two years. She used to conduct quiet a bit of business at the Starbucks near McKinley and Peach avenues and soon identified a need for business space and services near Fresno Yosemite International Airport — an area she calls the Airport District — to cater to business travelers and local entrepreneurs.

Senegal said she and her partners have spent about $30,000 on renovations to the center since they moved in in February. The work is ongoing, and she expects the center to be completed by spring of next year. Future amenities will include a “Sky Lounge” and events center, a mini movie theater, computer lab, business library and entrepreneurship academy.

“It is an absolutely beautiful space,” Senegal said.

Senegal said about 20 percent of the 33,000 square feet is currently available, and it leases for about $1 per square foot. Spaces from 300 to 5,000 square-feet are open.

The grand opening event runs from 4-9 p.m., with a 5:30 p.m. ribbon cutting. The event will feature 22 “pop-up” shops offering everything from food and drink, boutique clothing, jewelry and more.

“This is shaping up to become the newest attraction in the Airport District,” Senegal said.
