The City of Fresno has released its first preliminary approvals for commercial cannabis business permits.

Announced Friday, the retail permits were given to three applicants filing under the social equity process. Qualifications include having a past conviction for a cannabis crime or having an immediate family member with a past conviction and meeting low income criteria.

Fresno Canna Co. Dispensary at 3257 W. Shaw Ave. (District 1), Viola Fresno at 755 Van Ness Ave. (District 3) and Traditional – Fresno – ME at 6926 N. Weber Ave. (District 2) were awarded preliminary approvals by the city manager as the highest ranking social equity applications.

Other social equity applicants still in the running include:

High Speed Healing (1142 F. St.)

Pure Fresno, LLC (4931 N. Blackstone Ave.)

Roering Leaf Inc. (207 E. Sierra Ave.)

Boogy Baybee LLC (351 N. Blackstone Ave.)

Pure Central Valley LLC 90 E. Magill Ave.)

Supreme Flower Rx (7345 N. Abby St.)

The People’s Dispensary Fresno (426 N. Blackstone Ave.)

Beyond Rooted 559 LLC (505-507 N. Fulton Ave.)

The Joint 559 (913 E. Divisadero St.)

SKG Trinity (842 N. Fulton St.)

The Green Leaf Yard LLC (1045 F St.)

1434 Van Ness LLC (1434 N. Van Ness Ave.)

TreeHouse Lounge (1048 E St.)

The Green Leaf Yard LLC (4736 E. Kings Canyon Rd.)

For non-retail permits, ABCCanna, Valley Integrated Bio and Cali-Wide Distribution Inc. were awarded permits as the highest-ranked applicants.

Under the social equity process, Viola Fresno was also awarded a non-retail permit for cultivation.

Under city rules, a minimum of one out of every seven commercial cannabis business permits shall be awarded to an equity applicant. The maximum is two out of every seven.
