Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is planning to host a job fair next week to staff its upcoming Fresno location.

The franchisee Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Southern California-based WKS Restaurant Group, plans to hire about 70 people for the store, currently under construction in front of the Target store at Blackstone and Bullard avenues.

A tentative opening date is Dec. 6, barring any construction delays, said Lisa Hignite, senior operations manager for WKS Restaurant Group.

The job fair will be held November 15-16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, at the Courtyard Fresno hotel, 140 E. Shaw Ave. Onsite interviews will be conducted for full and part-time team members, production specialists and shift supervisors.

Applications will also be accepted online at wksusa.com. http://www.wksusa.com/job-openings/

This will be Fresno’s second Krispy Kreme. In 2001 the original location opened to much acclaim (and long lines) in what is currently the Chick-fil-A location at Blackstone and Nees avenues. That store closed in 2007.

Founded in 1987, WKS Restaurant Group is the franchise owner of hundreds of restaurants in the U.S., including brands such as Blaze Pizza, El Pollo Loco, Krispy Kreme, Denny’s and Corner Bakery Cafe.
