Fresno Mayor Lee Brand and Director of Development and Resource Management Jennifer Clark announced the launch of extended counter hours for its permitting and planning services at City Hall.

The new hours will extend from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an aim to enhance convenience and improve turnaround times for commercial and residential customers.

“This is another strong step forward toward my goal of making Fresno the most business-friendly city in California,”said Brand. “We’re continually working to find ways to make it easier to do business at City Hall and I’m proud of the continued effort to improve and innovate City services.”

The longer counter hours stem from the Mayor’s Business Friendly Fresno 2.0! Initiative and follows the introduction of Fresno’s Accelerated Applications System to Track Electronic Reviews (FAASTER), an online customer service portal that has helped improve the permitting and planning process at City Hall.

“Our goal is to create a responsive and accessible relationship with anyone choosing to do business with the City of Fresno,” Clark said. “The expanded hours meet the growing demands of our business community and help us better serve the needs of our busy customers.”
