Fixed base operations at Fresno Yosemite International Airport were recently acquired by a new company, along with FBOs at five other airports across the country.

Fixed-base operators are commercial businesses that provide aeronautical services such as fueling, hangaring, rental, maintenance and other services.

KSL Capital Partners in Denver acquired the six FBOs from BBA Aviation, and they will be operated under a new company called Ross Aviation.

Jeff Ross — an industry executive who KSL has worked in the past — will serve as president and CEO of Ross Aviation.

“In 2014, the predecessor to Ross Aviation sold 20 FBOs to Landmark Aviation. This acquisition marks our return to the FBO business, a business we have been involved in for nearly 30 years. We look forward to being able to serve many former customers as well as many new customers, bringing to bear the service standards and customer contact that is symbolized by the name Ross Aviation,” said Jeff Ross in a statement.
