The Madera County Farm Bureau and Agriland Farming Company, Inc. are sponsoring a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Training and FLC Registration Outreach Fair for supervisors and crew leaders of farm labor contractors and growers.

The event will be held on March 1 at the Madera County Fairgrounds.

DOL, Employment Development Department, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other regulatory agencies will be available to attendees as training presenters and outreach specialists to discuss agricultural labor law, wage and hour regulations, licensing and registration, transportation, field sanitation and safety.

A U.S. Department of Labor FLC/FLCE Registration Outreach team will also be onsite to accept and process applications on a walk-in basis.

A similar event held in November 2014 drew more than 300 attendees.

For more information about the event call (559) 665-2100 or email Larissa Vossenkemper at larissa@agrilandfarming.com.
