DAV Charities of Central California was the recent recipient of an $18,000 donation from EYE-Q vision Care employees.

DAV Charities directly supports various programs that help disabled veterans with services that include transportation and health care.

“We are proud to have the support of community-focused organizations like EYE-Q Vision Care and its employees who believe in our mission to help disabled veterans,” said George Steese, DAV president.

In 2015, DAV was selected by employees as the nonprofit of choice for EYE-Q’s Blue Jeans for Charity internal fundraiser. Employees make a donation each pay period in exchange for wearing blue jeans to work each Friday throughout the year.

“Many of the employees at EYE-Q served in the military or have family members who have served,” said Dr. Richard L. Moors, Cataract Specialist at EYE-Q. “We appreciate the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served our country and feel it’s important to help these veterans as they transition back into civilian life.”
