What we do:

Real estate & property management / real estate portfolio management

What drew you to become an entrepreneur?

I’ve always been self-employed. I started a general construction business with my brother and never looked back! I’ve always developed, remodeled, sold and managed real estate. It’s in my blood. It’s what I do.

What prompted Dart Realty’s move to Downtown Fresno?

Easy! The downtown culture and revitalization is proof Fresno cares about it — and we want to be part of the movement.  We serve all of Fresno and we love Fresno.  Why not be in the location where the excitement is?

What advice do you have for property owners who are searching for the right broker?

Just come see me! Look for integrity, and all the other desires will fall into place.

How is business these days?

Fantastic! Matter of fact, moving to Downtown Fresno has given us more exposure and has created more opportunities. We have partnered with small business owners such as Manual Whitaker of New Horizon Insurance and Kurt Goetz from Vexa Mortgage. Outside of the real estate world, I also partnered with my good friends Dana Pellerin and TJ Amaya to start a brewery. We will be opening South of Shaw Beer Company in the Peerless Building in Downtown Fresno in spring of 2020.

How would you describe the company culture of Dart Realty and Property Management?

Work hard, play hard. Production centric company.  Employees first!  We believe if we take care of them, they’ll take care of the customer! We do life together. We all live and work by our motto of trust, excellence, accountability, collaboration, service, innovation and gratitude. We spend so much time working, so we like to hire those like us. Christian minded and can hustle.

What’s it like running a business with your better half?

Awesome!  She is for sure my better half! I couldn’t imagine doing any of this without her constant support. She has her Master’s in business operations and metrics. When something seems to be out of line, she knows right away — way before I do — because she’s implemented measurements and tools focused directly on the property owner or soon to be owner.  The tools have become such a valuable part to our business model. When she handles the operations, she frees up my time to work directly with portfolios and investments so I can find my client exactly what they are looking for. And, we truly have a lot of fun together.  It’s great working with my best friend and closest confidant.

I have all the time in the world for:

Adventuring, my grandbabies, motorcycles, traveling, and my Oakland Raiders.

I have no patience for:

Laziness

What are your roots in the Central Valley?

I’ve lived in Dinuba since I was two. Graduated from Dinuba High then left to college in San Diego. After college I returned to the Valley. I lived in Shaver Lake until 2005. Then back to Fresno ever since.

What was your very first job and what did you learn from it?

I sold encyclopedias door to door.  Where I really learned to sell! And I worked for Laemmlen Orchards as a shed hand, hanging boxes and packing fruit. I learned about good people and the satisfaction/ enjoyment from a hard physical day at work.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I ride my BMW motorcycle, spend time with my grandbabies, hang out at my ranch in Paso Robles, watch the Oakland Raiders games and go on adventures.
