DESCRIPTION:What do golf\, tacos\, and 40\,000 Central Valley children have in\ncommon? First Tee- Fresno’s 63rd annual Cinco de Mayo Charity Golf Tournament. On Monday\, May 4\, 2026\, First Tee – Fresno will be hosting their largest fundraiser of the year\, The Cinco de Mayo Charity Golf Tournament. This fundraiser golf tournament benefits the 40\,000 children in the Central Valley served by First Tee – Fresno. Funds raised by this event will help\npay for various golf necessities for the children such as equipment\, green fees\, travel\, and college scholarships. \nThis year\, the Cinco de Mayo Charity Golf Tournament returns to Copper River Country Club and is open to all golfers. First Tee – Fresno Executive Director Morgan Berling says\, “The support from our players\, sponsors\, and community partners allows us to continue providing accessible programs that teach important life skills and create opportunities for kids throughout our community.” \nThere are still a few foursomes and sponsorship opportunities\navailable. If you would like to get involved or play in the Cinco de Mayo Charity Golf Tournament\, please visit firstteefresno.org. \n\nAbout First Tee – Fresno:\nFirst Tee – Fresno is a non-profit organization that teaches children aged 4-17 life skills through the game of golf. The First Tee – Fresno has never turned a child away due to a family’s inability to pay the registration fees while bringing the game of golf to children who may not get to experience the game otherwise. Each year First Tee – Fresno provides college scholarships to several high school seniors. Currently First Tee – Fresno serves 40\,000 children across Fresno\, Madera\, Tulare\, and Kings Counties.

Tickets include dessert and soft drinks. You may bring your own wine. \nSan Francisco Bay Area vocalist Karen Marguth is one of the most acclaimed vocal artists to emerge in the 2000s. She has released six albums as a leader\, three of which have been listed in DownBeat’s annual Best of the Year issue\, and one of which received a rare four-and-a-half stars. \nNamed “one of the finest American jazz vocalists” by Jazz Times\, she continues to quietly produce albums that receive international acclaim while holding down a day job as an educator. She has served in public schools as a classroom teacher\, an instructional coach for the arts and literacy\, and as a consultant for the National Writing Project and the International Baccalaureate Organization. \nJoining Karen will be Mike Taylor on guitar\, Nathan Guzman on drums\, David Aus on keys\, and Clare Reinhold on bass.
