SUMMARY:FCC Speakers Forum Presents: A Conversation with Danny Trejo
DESCRIPTION:The Fresno City College Speakers Forum welcomes iconic actor Danny Trejo to campus. Mr. Trejo will discuss his prolific career as well as his history of incarceration\, addiction\, and sobriety. \nWhen: Tuesday\, January 27 at 11 AM \nWhere: At Fresno City College in the  OAB Auditorium. \nCost:  Admission is free and a livestream via Zoom will be available. \n*Zoom attendees must register \n  \nAbout Danny Trejo\nA proud native of Los Angeles\, Danny Trejo has become one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors. His acting career spans over 40 years and includes such classic films as Blood in\, Blood Out\, Desperado\, Heat\, From Dusk till Dawn\, Con Air\, Reindeer Games\, Once Upon a Time in Mexico\, Bubble Boy\, Muppets Most Wanted\, Minions: The Rise of Gru\, and Zootopia 2. He is probably most widely known for playing the first Chicano action star—Isador “Machete” Cortez in the Spy Kids franchise as well as in Grindhouse and two Machete movies—2010’s Machete and 2013’s Machete Kills. His films has grossed nearly $4 billion and he has the distinction of being the most-killed actor on film. \nNotable television appearances include Baywatch\, Monk\, Desperate Housewives\, Breaking Bad\, The Simpsons\, Sons of Anarchy\, and The Book of Boba Fett. He also serves as host of Mysteries Unearthed with Danny Trejo. \nTrejo spent much of his youth and young adult life battling addiction and in and out of incarceration including juvenile correctional facilities. He served time in Soledad\, Vacaville\, and San Quentin Prisons. While in prison\, Trejo became a championship boxer. After an incident in 1968 landed him in solitary confinement\, he found faith and overcame his addiction. He was released from prison in 1969 and has remained sober ever since. \nTrejo went on to become a substance abuse counselor and helped establish several treatment facilities in the San Fernando Valley. \nLate one night in 1985\, Trejo received a phone call from a young man looking for sobriety help. When he arrived at the address the client had provided\, it turned out to be the set of the film Runaway Train. While there\, he was offered a job as an extra on the film\, then as Eric Roberts’ boxing coach\, and finally a small acting role as Roberts’ opponent. While maintaining a busy acting schedule with over 500 credits\, Trejo remains a dedicated substance abuse counselor who has helped countless individuals achieve the freedom of sobriety. \nTrejo has also opened a chain of successful restaurants including Trejo’s Tacos\, Trejo’s Cantina\, and Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts with locations throughout Los Angeles as well as in Detroit and London. He published two cookbooks: Trejo’s Tacos: Recipes and Stories from L.A. and Trejo’s Cantina: Cocktails\, Snacks & Amazing Non-Alcoholic Drinks from the Heart of Hollywood. A documentary about his life\, Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo was released in 2020. His critically-acclaimed biography\, Trejo: My Life of Crime\, Redemption\, and Hollywood was published in 2021 and debuted at number four on The New York Times nonfiction best-seller list. \nDespite Trejo’s impressive list of credits\, it is his continuous role as a devoted father of three and an intervention counselor that bring him the most satisfaction.

SUMMARY:Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony with the @visaliachamber as we officially open our new Visalia space. \n🎀 Ribbon Cutting: January 28\, 2026 at 4:00 PM\n📍 Location: 209 & 211 E Caldwell Ave\, Visalia\, CA 93277 \nWhether you’re a community member\, provider\, or someone who believes in the power of hope and healing\, we’d love to see you there. \nRSVP today! Email or Call \n  \n\n\nOur History\n\n\n\n\nSierra Meadows Behavioral Health is a locally owned and operated organization. Our vision for this company began from our first-hand experiences\, witnessing the tragic effects of a community with unmet behavioral health needs. Our founder and CEO\, Dr. Tatum would often get calls from concerned loved ones and referral sources asking where to get help for those needing higher levels of care but not meeting the criteria for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Seeing these individuals go untreated was heartbreaking. With a strategic plan for addressing the mental health disparity in Fresno County\, Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health was founded in April 2018.

SUMMARY:Niki J Crawford
DESCRIPTION:Team Neville Concerts presents Niki J. Crawford on February 21\, 2026\, at Frank’s Place in the Warnors Center\, 1432 Fulton St\, Fresno. Show at 8pm\, doors at 7:30pm. \nReserved tables and seating\, all ages\, with total prices of $56\, $51\, and $46. \nThere’s something magnetic about Niki J Crawford. Maybe it’s her Southern charm. Her fearless spirit. Or that unmistakable voice that makes you feel seen\, heard\, and alive all at once. Whatever it is\, Niki’s music lingers long after the last note fades. \nThe singer/songwriter crafts poignant lyrics and creates music with a Soul-Funk-R&B sound that you can feel. SUMMARY:Y&T\, Presented by TeamNeville Concerts
DESCRIPTION:TeamNeville Concerts presents Y&T\, making their way back to Fresno on March 21 at Tower Theatre\, where it all began for TeamNeville Concerts many\, many years ago\, 8 pm show\, 7 pm doors\, reserved seating\, all ages. \nBefore Mötley Crüe\, before RATT\, even before there was a Metallica\, Y&T was slogging away in sweaty rock clubs around America. When the band formed in the early 1970s\, little did they know they would set the standard for hard rock bands that followed. Many of the biggest acts of the ’80s became popular opening for headliners Y&T—and cut their teeth on the band\, as evidenced by the Y&T mentions in tell-all books by acts such as Metallica and Mötley Crüe.
