State Center Community College District and Associated Builders and Contractors Northern California Chapter to host July 11 Job Fair for recent Building Trades Boot Camp graduates

On Tuesday, July 11, State Center Community College District (SCCCD) in partnership with the Associated Builders and Contractors Northern California Chapter will hold a Job Fair to help place recent SCCCD graduates of a 12-week Building Trades Boot Camp into entry level construction jobs. During the course, students received training in trade math skills, fundamentals of blue print reading, reading and writing for the job site, introduction to computer skills, resume and interviewing techniques. Students also received certifications in First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10, Confined Space, Flagging and Workplace/Safety. There are approximately 500,000 construction industry jobs ready to be filled right now. ABC NorCal and SCCCD are doing their part to train and hire the future construction industry. The Job Fair will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Clovis Community College – Herndon Campus Building A, Room 108. The Herndon Campus is located at 390 W. Fir Ave., Clovis CA 93611.
