Lively Arts Foundation presents Drum Tao

A feast for the eyes and ears! Drum Tao’s mesmerizing productions combine thunderous traditional taiko drumming with dazzling staging, theatrical costumes and dramatic lighting effects. Flute, marimba and harp are added to the drum ensemble for dramatic effects, and high-octane choreography contributes fresh new energy to this centuries- old Japanese art form.

Celebrating their 30th anniversary more than ten million spectators in twenty-six countries have seen Drum Tao.

This performing group combines music and dance to reflect Japanese tradition, but also incorporates Korean, Maori, and Indonesian influences with a modern dynamic.

Lively Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit presenting and support organization founded in 1989 to bring a variety of world-class dance, music and dramatic entertainment to the residents of the San Joaquin Valley for their enjoyment and edification. Through its sponsorship of the Central California Ballet, Lively Arts fosters a challenging and enriched environment in the performing arts for talented local students. Every season, the Foundation’s Discover Dance! Project Outreach introduces the magic of the performing arts to thousands of the Central Valley’s underserved students and families.
