Regional engineering firm QK celebrated its move to Old Town Clovis’ SoFi district with a ribbon cutting and a grand tour on Thursday.

Located in Centennial Plaza, the 55,000-square-foot office will allow space for approximately 30 employees. Ronald Wathen, the new president and CEO at QK, said the decision to move came when they needed a place that could fit the needs of their company as it continued to grow.

“I think it’s really going to give us an edge over our competitors because I there’s going to be a lot of people that really have taken an interest in QK since they found out we were handled out of Clovis,” Wathen said.

QK has more than 110 employees on its staff in offices in Visalia, Merced, Bakersfield, Roseville and Porterville.

The Clovis Chamber of Commerce also attended the ceremony.

“We wish QK continued success and look forward to seeing QK employees and clients around Old Town, enjoying Clovis way of life,” said Greg Newman, executive director of the chamber in a press release.

There are also plans later this year for a public open house.
