Fresno County voters will have an early chance to hit the polls for the Statewide General Election starting Monday, Oct. 8.

Starting today and ending Nov. 6, the day of the election, the main elections office at 2221 Kern St. in Downtown Fresno will serve as a polling place for all Fresno County residents, regardless of polling place. The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Voters can pick up their ballots from the office and take it with them or cast their vote immediately. To request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to them, voters can call the Elections office at 559-600-8683 or go online at fresnovote.com to verify and update their registration.

The last day to register to vote is Oct. 22. However, up to election day, people can register conditionally in-person. The vote will be counted once registration is verified by the elections office.

“Early voting is a great opportunity for voters with busy schedules or who cannot make it to their polling place on November 6, 2018,” said Fresno County Clerk Brandi Orth. “We hope voters will take advantage of this opportunity to come down to the elections office and cast their ballots. Every vote counts!”
