A pair of local brewing companies is joining the effort to encourage blood donation with the “Have a Pint on Us” St. Patrick’s Day Blood Drive.

Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co. and Full Circle Brewing Co. in Fresno have partnered with the Central California Blood Center for the event March 1-13. All donors who register will receive a coupon for 50% off the purchase of a four-pack of beer from either brewer. The coupons are valid from March 15-20 at both breweries.

“The support of these local businesses in lending their brand to help us incentivize donors comes at a much-needed time,” says Ersilia Lacaze, director of marketing for the Central California Blood Center. “With the continued closure of college campuses and loss of blood drive capabilities due to the pandemic, we welcome the support of both Tioga-Sequoia and Full Circle in encouraging our community to donate blood.”

Donors can make appointments or walk-ins are always welcome at the following donor centers.

The Central California Blood Center provides blood and services to patients who receive care at 30 hospitals and their network of facilities in Fresno, Tulare, Madera, Kings and Mariposa counties. Some 5,000 to 6,000 pints of blood must be collected per month to meet the needs of patients in the Central Valley.
