Comcast Hometown Network Channel will air 35 live Minor League Baseball games from the California League and Pacific Coast League this season, including a handful of Fresno Grizzlies games in August.
All games will be broadcast live from either Chukchansi Park or San Jose Municipal Stadium, home of the San Jose Giants. The telecasts will also be available via Comcast’s On Demand platform, which allows viewers to pause, rewind and fast forward through games.
“We are proud to partner with the San Jose Giants and the Fresno Grizzlies once again,” said Jeff Giles, director of Comcast Hometown Network. “It’s going to be an exciting season as this partnership offers a unique opportunity for our viewers to witness our homegrown champions play before they get called up to the Major Leagues.”
San Jose games will be aired April through mid-August, with four Fresno Grizzlies games airing later in the summer. The four-game series against the rival Sacramento River Cats will air:
• Thursday, Aug. 25, 7 p.m. at Chukchansi Park
• Friday, Aug. 26, 7 p.m. at Chukchansi Park
• Saturday, Aug. 27, 7 p.m. at Chukchansi Park
• Sunday, Aug. 28, 5 p.m. at Chukchansi Park
Doug Greenwald will perform announcing duties for the Grizzlies, with veteran minor league baseball announcer Joe Castellano providing color commentary. In-game reporting for both the San Jose Giants and Fresno Grizzlies games will be provided by Kate Rooney.
